Link is featured on the Canine Massage page. Link is a handsome retired racing greyhound. Here, in this pic, he is getting a massage. Looks like he is enjoying it, doesn't it? This is the 'after' pic! I was introduced to Link because he had separation anxiety. He was also very uncomfortable with all over touch. Working with his fabulous mom, using Tellington Ttouch to lessen overall anxiety, and using detective work combined with imagination and experimentation, his separation anxiety has now been significantly reduced that his mom can leave him without worry. He become very relaxed overall, and loves his regular massages! In fact now he greets me at the door, goes immediately to his bed and lies down on his side, as if to say: "What are you waiting for? Let's get to it!". He is a lovely, goofy, interesting character, and is always a joy to visit and work on!
I am grateful for the tools Ttouch provides, so I can help dogs such as Link. And I am grateful to be able to give him continued comfort and care with Canine Massage.
This is a lovely pic of Rufus. An elegant, senior dog, he ended up at the Toronto Humane Society, where he was so stressed he wasn't eating. And barking nonstop. Within a few minutes of doing Ttouch with him, he was able to calm enough to eat his dinner, which was so heartening! Over the next few days doing Ttouch work with him, he was able to be calm even when left alone. Being so handsome, and calm, he got adopted quickly! And here he is now, settled in to his new home, where he is clearly very well cared for, and very happy!
This is a recent photo of dear Willow. I first met her at the Toronto Humane Society, where I volunteer. Every animal in the shelter is affected by that environment, as one might expect, even with all the work the staff and volunteers do to enrich their lives. When Willow was there, she was just sad. And she was there for quite a while. And it made me sad. Then along came a wonderful family, and now she has a home, and people who love her! I have been fortunate enough to stay in touch with them - she has been with them for some time now. And she is happy! And they are happy! And I am happy! 💕
Lovely, laughing Billie!! She was Abilene, for those who might remember her from her time at the THS. She was brought to Toronto from one of the northern reserves where the THS ran a spay/neuter clinic. She had a sweet nature, but was unsure how to interact with humans. By using Ttouch with her, I was able to help her overcome her shyness and connect with the perfect family. And look at her now! 💖
Jesse *In Memoriam*
After a long and well-lived life, Jesse is now free of pain and at peace. A beautiful, noble, handsome, strong dog, he lived his whole life wrapped in the arms of a wonderful family, where he was dearly loved. I feel honoured to have known them.
